Armoured Underground Cable
Our steel-wire armoured (SWA) underground cables are designed to deliver maximum mechanical protection and long-term reliability in the most demanding installation conditions. Suitable for direct burial, duct installation, and exposed outdoor environments, these cables are built to withstand soil movement, rodent attack, and heavy mechanical stress.
Available in copper and aluminum conductors with XLPE or PVC insulation, the cables cover voltage ratings from 0.6/1 kV up to 33 kV and cross-sections ranging from 16 mm² to 1000 mm². Armour options include Steel Wire Armour (SWA) for single-core and multi-core cables, and Steel Tape Armour (STA) for applications requiring longitudinal water ingress protection.
All cables conform to IEC 60502-1, IEC 60502-2, and BS 5467 standards and are supplied with full factory test reports, drum length certificates, and material traceability documentation — making them the preferred choice for power distribution networks, industrial plants, and critical infrastructure projects.
