Testing & Commissioning

Overview

Our testing and commissioning team ensures that every electrical system is thoroughly verified before being put into service. We follow a structured, documented process that covers all equipment and subsystems — from individual component testing through to integrated system validation and final handover.

All testing is performed in accordance with IEC, IEEE, and manufacturer standards using calibrated instruments. We prepare comprehensive test reports, certificates, and as-built documentation that provide full traceability for the project record.

Our Approach

We apply a three-phase commissioning methodology that progressively verifies the installation from component level to full system integration.

1. Pre-Commissioning & Inspection

Before energisation, we conduct a thorough visual inspection of all installed equipment, verify wiring against drawings, check termination torque values, measure insulation resistance, and confirm earthing continuity. Any discrepancies are flagged and resolved before proceeding.

2. Component & Subsystem Testing

Each major component is individually tested — protection relays are injection-tested and settings verified, transformers undergo ratio and winding resistance tests, switchgear undergoes insulation and operation tests, and cables are hi-pot tested. Results are compared against acceptance criteria.

3. System Integration & Energisation

With all subsystems verified, we proceed to system-level testing including protection coordination checks, load flow verification, and sequence testing. Controlled energisation is performed with real-time monitoring, followed by a stabilisation period and performance acceptance testing.
